EARLY VOTING JUNE 11–18 | ELECTION DAY IS JUNE 23

Molly
McKee-Seabrook

DEMOCRAT

for Maryland House of Delegates | District 22

Lifelong Democrat.
Ready to Serve.

Molly McKee-Seabrook grew up in Hyattsville, went to school in Prince George's County, and is now raising her own three children here — all of them in Prince George's County Public Schools. Her grandfather ran McKee Plumbing & Heating. Her father, uncles, and aunt were proud union members.

A first-generation college graduate who relied on scholarships and federal loans to attend St. Mary's College of Maryland, Molly spent more than seven years working at the center of the Maryland General Assembly — first as a legislative aide, then as Chief of Staff to Senator Bill Ferguson, who went on to become Maryland Senate President. Since 2019, she has served as Associate Director of Government Relations at the University of Maryland, helping secure millions in state investment for public higher education and need-based financial aid. She knows how Annapolis works — because she's spent over 14 years working in it.

Molly McKee-Seabrook Is Fighting For:

  • Paid Family Leave and Childcare Affordability

Molly helped shepherd the 2018 legislation creating paid parental leave for Maryland state employees — and heard directly from a family who was able to stay at their newborn's hospital bedside because of it. That experience drives her commitment to fully implementing the Time to Care Act, extending paid leave to all Maryland families and caregivers. She also supports universal Pre-K and increased investment in aftercare programs, rooted in her own experience navigating childcare costs as a working parent.

  • Public Education

Every child in District 22 deserves a quality education regardless of their zip code. During her years as Chief of Staff to Senator Ferguson, Molly helped advance Pre-K expansion and K-12 education policy. As a PGCPS parent herself, she brings a firsthand stake in getting public education right.

  • Higher Education Affordability

As a first-generation college student who relied on scholarships and loans, Molly knows what's at stake when higher education becomes unaffordable. In her current role at the University of Maryland, she has helped secure millions in state investment in public higher education and need-based financial aid — and she'll carry that commitment into the legislature.

  • Reproductive Healthcare

Molly has been an active advocate for reproductive health access in Prince George's County. In 2019, serving on County Executive Alsobrooks' Health and Human Services transition committee, she focused on expanding access to reproductive healthcare and pushed for a comprehensive strategy to address maternal and infant mortality rates — which have historically been higher in Prince George's County, particularly for families of color. Expanding access to and quality of reproductive healthcare remains a central priority of her campaign.

  • Working Families and Labor

Molly's commitment to working families is rooted in her own. Her family's union memberships across the Plumbers & Gasfitters Union Local 5, the IBEW Local 26, and the Prince George's County Education Association shaped how she thinks about the relationship between government policy and people's daily lives. Her first job out of college was with the Teamsters' Election Supervisor, ensuring fair union leadership elections. She supports paid leave, fair wages, childcare access, and affordable housing.

  • Climate and Clean Energy

Molly's work at the University of Maryland includes supporting Sustainable Maryland, a program that has helped municipalities across Prince George's County — including communities in District 22 — develop local sustainability efforts. She supports continued investment in clean energy and climate action as a core part of Maryland's economic future.

  • Protecting Immigrant Communities

Molly's campaign platform includes strong immigrant protections, reflecting the diversity of District 22 communities like Hyattsville, Greenbelt, and Riverdale Park.
